I'm trying to figure out if I've timed the cams right or not. I'm pretty sure it's wrong, but would like someone who's built one of these before to tell me exactly what's going on. It turns over fine without anything hitting, however there's another issue... At a certain point in the cycle the inlet cam skips forward and puts slack on the chain in between it and the exhaust cam. Is this normal? Chain tensioner is the one controlled by the single big bolt on the inlet side of the timing case and it's been done up... Also, intermittently, there's a loud "click" sound as if a spring has let go somewhere, as I turn it over. What could this be? Could it be the chain tensioner slipping? I'll upload a second video of the noise.
